Breakpast !

As I was passing the elephants, I suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

I saw a trainer near by and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. "Well," he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away.

They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." I was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before ?
If you're wondering what's that above image is all about ? you're surely going to experience an amazing link about the wonderful 42 tonne walking mechanical elephant of Sultan's Elephant event in London

No fuel ?!

Dear All,

Due to Fuel crisis in the city, we may not be able to provide full support for late night transport to all the areas. We are going to operate minimal vehicles and service will be provided for the employees who are working in critical projects. Request all to plan your evening schedule and inform front office, which enable us to provide transport.

Thanks
Facilities - Manager
Guess what ? This is the email employees received this week in one of the software company situated outside the city limits in Bangalore.

My pass time imagination is, 'how this life would be without petrol or diesel after some years ?' What eco-activists are yelling now : go green, save earth: will it be a reality after some years ? I guess, if not someone one discovers some kind of alternative fuel which will again pollute the environment, we would surely be running our vehicles with electricity, hydrogen or solar powered cells in near future.

But, as the reality is, in next 50 years the fuel reserve under earth is going to extinct,I some how feel the facility manager's email is dark oman of the near future ?! :D

Biodiesel Fuel?

Recently one of my friend was telling about how his college mate(now in US) thinking of getting into entrepreneurship. I was guessing, may be he's venturing into some kind of IT enabled services or software services since he's an software guy. I was bit startled as he progressed to stay, he is coming back to India to start an bio diesel producing company. I must appreciate his way of thinking. It seemed like he's having blueprint ready for the project too. I was also aware that the state bus transportation is running some buses on bio diesel or fuel extracted from vegetables.

Found an interesting read on this bio fuel, which is gaining some importance in recent past on the wake of raising fuel prices.
What is Biodiesel Fuel?
Biodiesel fuel is a fuel which made from renewable sources. Not like a petroleum gasoline which made from fossil energy or non renewable energy, biodiesel is a good alternative energy.

Biofuels become popular nowadays, Biofuels create big hopes for car driver, fuel price is become higher and higher. Many car driver screaming with that crazy gas price, the gas price will make the car driver’s wallet empty every day. And Biofuels come for the gas alternative than fossil fuel. But is that true biofuels are have many advantages rather than their disadvantages?. Every objects in this world have advantages site and disadvantages site. I believe that Biofuels have that too.
So What is the advantages of Biofuels?
Here are some advantages of biofuels:Biodegradable, non toxic and easy to handle, Less of CO and Sulfur, carbon neutral, its made from renewable resources, clean fuels so its good for cars.

Interestingly, a user(Biffula) comment has more to say about this energy format:

Corn and sugar based ethanol is a disaster! If all the crop land in the US were switched to grow corn, all of that corn would only produce 12% of the US energy needs. Not to mention it is inefficient to make and would use too much fertilizer thus polluting the waterways. Then what about food shortages? We’re already seeing that happen. And finally ethanol is not good as a fuel. Cars get worse gas mileage, thus use more, when burning ethanol. An entirely different type of energy needs to be used for vehicles. We need to go after electric(which in the US is mainly produced using coal, natural gas, water and nuclear) or some form of hydrogen cell. But wake up and forget ethanol folks! It’s a looming disaster bigger than petroleum!

With all these energy hungry news, recently there was a news in the media. Hubli based Engineering college students invented a car which runs on pure air. Upon research found some news related to: how Air Hybrid Car Could Improve Fuel Efficiency.

Simple yet effective profiler for Windows PPC.

I use windows powered HTC smart phone. Windows pocket pc version is quite basic and caters to everyone immaterial of learning curve or intelligence of the end user.

One important feature, which is lacking in windows version since V5.0 is user profiles changing, which is very effective in symbian powered Nokia phones. Incidentally, I came across an neat app which is intelligent, well thought, effective usability centered software : Profiles for Windows Mobile 2.0.0, by Maurizio Panzica of winmobileapps.com. If you're an windows user, it's worth the buy. Use it to believe it - I'm moved by its simplicity and usability and the most important is automatic changing of profile or Timed profile switches !

A Clockwork Orange (1971)

My current fascination is: watching one of the best movies - talked about in net, coffee shops, hangouts, amongst my friends etc.,

I got to see A Clockwork Orange (1971), this week. Though it's a speculative movie, I would say it's spectacular movie I've seen of late. Though directed in 1979, director Stanley Kubrick proves that; time is not a passe in crafting movies. There're various methods of movie making - I mean screenplay. Here director followed the art of self narration or 'first person narration' of the lead character. It literally moves you, if you're part of family and an outrageous guy of once upon a time in your life. Theme is - what goes around, comes around too. In India we call it: "Karma phala".

A must watch. Surprisingly timid pace of Alex's acting, the lead role boggles you down by all sorts of emotions possible.
