Why I call it a tablet ?
I don't know why anything is called as a tablet. Pardon my ignorance :), I assume any product which is tiny, slipable, usable, movable and carryable quite easily with new-age features. Yes, all that is possible with Leo a.k.a HTC-HD2
It's tad bigger than iPod, shade smaller than apple-tablet, wider than Nexus-one, has GPS, wifi- what apple tablet lacks, lovely 5mg pxl camera what iPod lacks, lean-figure what Creative-Zen-W lacks, mean and sturdy what Acer-neo lacks, and I call it a true tablet with 1GHz processor in such a mean machine. More over, it's geared up for Winmo-7 sooner or later :), it's a perfect lean tablet not a bloated iPod turned into a tablet.

What you buy is what you're - so I am a man with geeky-cheeky Voyager PRO, resembling a alien in Bangalore streets now a days :). Unlike teeny-weeny Bluetooth sets of now a days, this is more of a prominent looking design.
Though my new Nokia-N79 came with hands free, wireless is what my heart beats for. Previously I had Plantronics-510. It was studded with amazing voice clarity. I was thinking to buy, Jawbone or BlueAnt noise canceling bluetooth stuff this time. Though Jawbone had amazing review, my gizmo intuition went in for Plantronics.

Casio Pathfinder Atomic Solar Watch
Though I also bought Suunto Core, I needed sports and adventure watch which I could use ruggedly on frequent use. When Raj bought pathfinder PAG80T-7V, my geeky instinct was itching to mount a pathfinder on my wrist top too :) so pocketed this lovely PAW1100-1V stuff in black-Friday dea :) This is an Atomic time sync capability stuff. Though there are no atomic sync stations anywhere near Bangalore, might come handy if I travel to those places.
There's one available with silver Titanium Band, I liked black Resin Band due to its sporty look and nature.

Suunto Storm Alarm watch
If you think Finland is famous for Nokia, it's time to expand your horizon :). It has one more leading designer of adventure watches called - Suunto.
This amazing Suunto Core watch was there in my shopping radar for quite some time. I was stalking amazing watch over Camel price tracking since last year. And finally bought it on thanks-giving shopping phase in US. It's one of my treasured asset for my forthcoming adventures. 'Thanks Giving' shopping of this year is memorable with its sign on my wrist-top :)

My new Nokia-n79 phone
I was using HTC windows phone. I'm sure it's difficult to use key press phones after using touch phones. This time I wanted to try Android HTC Phone. But I don't see many apps built on Android v/s windows. So thought of mass favorite symbian den.
Felt like going for simple, slim, usable and yet an elegant candy car: the beast within beauty is out there: Nokia N79. So I'm with it now.

Varun bids Au revoir!
Is it a sort of farewell season ?I think so. Because I said bye to the firm I was associated with it for quite some time. And many of my freinds doing the same ritual to say an hi to new venture or to a new firm ! Love you December ;). The month where most of my new ideas gets into work !
Now, Varun says bye to Techtree editorial desk. Techtree is my favorite bookmark on everyday visit list. I loved him not because he was criss crossing the grey market prices but was more informative in letting me know, when 60GB ipod entered grey market than Apple show room in Forum, the best gaming PC console, forethought on hardware price falls ! He was good, precisely,Techtree is good.
When it comes to design [ ah ! what a darn scale to measure the best indian tech portal;) ] I've lot of red flags to raise on the layout and compatible issues of Techtree and its usability as a everyday tech portal. Well, I don't fall short in consoling myself since most-hits-a-day site slashdot is less appealing contrast to techtree. When content and speed matters techtree beats any desi tech portal for that matter.
Initially, I had a brief artificial hammerage in understanding cess, octroi, levies, customs on my telephone bill, broadband bill, hardware shopping bills and lot more. To add fuel, VAT (so-calld value added crap) also squeazing my money on shopping floors. Varun is right in saying-
"I believe we should be able to spend it the way we want, on what we want, without having to worry about customs, octroi, and a thousand other taxes and levies, especially when it comes to technology products. "Sad part is that I & we miss Varun on Techtree editorail pages, but he is right in saying-" I'm proud because I know Techtree is strong enough to go on without me". Good connoisseur thought:Show must go on.

Finally, I bow to Nokia 6600 !
Though it's a overhauled model I feel this is byfar the sexiest & macho design from Nokia.
wide-screen experience is superior. Comes with an additional 64MB Memory card. Though I planned to pickup any Nokia Nseries phones like N90, somehow my mind stuck to this cute piece.
Though I'm not influenced by the 6600 TV commercial Ad. Instincts remembered: "Insaan phone letha hai baatein karne keliye" Ad ;)

That's true when local buses, corporate vehicles, home PC's, cars, office comps, cell phones, earphones humming FM91 or any music like a rage now a days !
Lot of guys I know've moved either to DAP or cellphone based gadgets for music thirst. Everyday thousands of DAP*, PMP* & mp3-sticks* are being released worldwide. Though earhpone mp3 music mania is pioneered by Creative, 'The Mac giant' Apple took this into amazing level of music-nirvana with iPod ! Apple made iPod like a cellphone in everyday usage. Till recently, DAPs're constrained to a conventional design with Rio carbon was an exception, though. Rio is out of the market.

This is what I call "A Big bro of all DAP " when it comes to aesthetic design .'Gizmo freaks' calls it: 'Man Without A Face' ! Because: The organic EL display blends seamlessly into the body of the player. There's no extra screen or space for media info display. Whole body acts as a display screen. No wonder. The moment I saw it I am in Fida with this cute gizmo from Sony. It's an amazing gizmo still reigning in Japanese market, & recently doing rounds in global arena.By reviews and forums, I fathom it's a pure deviation design contrast to conventional DAP designs ! The display blends smoothly into the body of the player. Ooof this is what drives me crazy. It reminds me of 'Casio time watch' which made a numerical display on surface of the glass !
